Visitation for long-time Skokie Valley SC member Norb Katarski was held
Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Northfield Community Church at Wagner and Willow in Northfield.
Funeral was Friday, Jan. 16, in the same location. Norbert J. Katarski, 85, WWII Purple Heart Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge, beloved husband of Lois Lotus; fond brother of Alice Zyierzycki; loving brother-in-law of Glenn Pirrong and uncle of Craig Pirronga; also many nieces and nephews. He was a Gold Figure Skating Judge and longtime member of the Skokie Valley Figure Skating Club. Visitation Thursday, January 15, 3 to 9 p.m. in the parlor of the Northfield Community Church, Wagner & Willow Roads. Funeral Friday, January 16 10 a.m. at the same church. Burial will follow at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northshore Hospice or the Northfield Community Church appreciated. For info: 847-361-6088.
